CICOES Research Development Grants

UAF faculty and NOAA researchers are invited to explore upcoming research needs and build new collaborative proposals through UAF-CICOES. A research development grant call for proposals is open with a deadline of Nov 9, 2026. This funding supports activities that fall within at least one of the CICOES research themes and is open to faculty, research staff and postdocs with PI status. Collaboration with researchers in other CICOES partner universities (UW or OSU) is required for partnered projects. CICOES Postdoctoral Scholar Program

Apply by January 4, 2027. Open to postdoctoral fellows with at least one mentor at an academic institution affiliated with CICOES (UAF, UW or OSU), and one CICOES or NOAA mentor at Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, or Northwest Fisheries Science Center.
